Things To Do at Inle Lake
Inle Lake is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Myanmar and certainly many travelers' favorite. The culture at Inle Lake it to relax and do nothing. But if you are interested in doing more activities, below is what Inle Lake and Song of Travel Hostel has to offer:
Sunrise/Sunset Boat trip
Start at 5:00 am and cruise the lake until about 4 pm. Eat a traditional breakfast on the boat with sunrise. Lunch at a local floating house. Visit the lotus weaving, 5 day market, Indein Pagoda. Experience canoeing in traditional boat.
One day trekking
Whether you missed the trekking in Kalaw or you'd like to do more trekking, we provide Song of Travel's own one day trekking around Inle Lake.
Leave hostel at 8:00am, have lunch at a local village. Back to the hostel around 5:00pm

Had a long day and can't be bothered to go anywhere? Our hostel has the best sunset view and cheapest happy hour.
Our happy hour goes from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with 1500kyat per cocktail. It's a must try!

Feeling too lazy to do anything but don't want to sleep all day? No problem. Just chill at the hostel and play some local games like Sey Kong and Six Animals with our staff and your fellow travelers.
Winery sunset
Bike to the winery, do a tasting to pick your favorite wine, then enjoy the amazing sunset at the sunset terrace with a glass or a bottle of Inle Lake's very own wine.
VISIT MEDITATION CAVE
Every Sunday afternoon, we will do a free trip to the meditation cave. It's about 40mins walk from our hostel.
COME TO GYM WITH US
Missing working out? Song of Travel Hostel locate 1min walk from the only gym in town. It's one of the few fully equipped gym in Southeast Asia.
It's 2000 kyats per time and 20000 kyats per month.
Teach English to Kids in the village
If you stay a bit longer at Inle Lake and want to do something meaningful, Bamboo Delight (260m from hostel) can really use your help.
Have dinner & drinks at the night market
The night market locates right in downtown. 10mins bike from our hostel. You can get traditional Burmese food there as well as decent drinks.
Dinner and sunset at bamboo hut
Inle Lake offers one of the most amazing landscape in Myanmar. Another place you can watch stunning sunset other than the lake, winery, rice field, and our rooftop, is the bomboo hut. Search on maps.me or ask our reception for the direction.
Natural swimming pool
The natural swimming pool is about 7.8km away from our hostel close to Maing Thauk. If you come during the summer, it's perfect to have a cool dip. What's even better is, it's completely free!
